Sharing a Device

Please note that survey providers track users by their device footprint (things like IP address, browser, operating system, cookies, and other unique identifiers). Because of this, if more than one person tries to use the same device, several issues can occur:

  • Only one account may receive work: survey providers will usually send offers to just one account per device. This means the second account on the same device may get little or no work at all.

  • Conflicts and disqualifications: if the system detects multiple users from the same device, it may treat it as suspicious activity. This can lead to disqualifications from surveys or being blocked from receiving new ones.

  • Incorrect crediting: rewards may go to the wrong account, or not be credited at all, since providers cannot tell which user is genuine.

  • Risk of bans: repeated attempts to use the same device for multiple accounts can result in survey providers blocking those accounts permanently.

Example 1: If two family members both try to do surveys on the same phone, one account might stop receiving surveys altogether because the provider only recognizes one device ID.

Example 2: If you and a friend share a laptop, the system may detect two accounts coming from the same browser fingerprint. This could lead to both accounts being flagged as duplicates and losing access.

For these reasons, it’s very important that each user has their own separate device. Sharing a device is not supported and will prevent accounts from receiving work fairly.
